The Show, Updates and Resource of the Week

Hi Everyone :)
I hope everyone had a good weekend. It's been a busy past week for me, with the Miniature Art Show opening on Tuesday. I got to see some fantastic miniature artwork and meet some wonderfully talented artists. And I got to meet Pat Averill http://pataverill.com/. I have to say I have been a fan of her color pencil artwork for such a long time and seeing her work in person, just blew me away and inspired me and challenged me to work even harder on my miniature works. And that little lady standing next to me is Katherine Friday. I have to say, I am now her newest and biggest fan. Her award winning works are absolutely stunning. And she uses a jeweler's magnifying visor to do the small details. Found one on Amazon and I am buying one. The Traveling Miniature Art Show will continue on til the end of the month. If you get a chance stop on by and check out all the amazing works at the Walters Cultural Art Center in Hilsborro Oregon.

RESOURCE OF THE WEEK
Just had to share Joan Beriger's latest blog post "Creative Process of Extremely Successful Licensed Artists" http://joanbeiriger.blogspot.com/2011/11/creative-process-of-extremely.html
Highly recommend reading it And if you get a chance read the November 2011 issue of the Artist's magazine Color Pencil Artists Gary Greene and Linda Lucas Hardy share the tools they use when creating works with color pencil.
Hope you all have a great week!
Love and Blessings!
